Project Specifics

U of M has a long history of improving the land in and around the campus. The following is a list of the major projects being carried out by the University as well as how they obtained the property for these projects.
  • In 1997, U of M received a generous donation of 27 contiguous acres just north of the Flint River.  This donated property is where the William S. White Building is being constructed and the Northbank Center located.
  • William S. White Building - This building will house academic offices and classrooms.  In addition, a child care center will also be located in this building that will care for children from infant stage to school age children.
  • Northbank Center - Upgrades to address health and safety deficiencies will be addressed in Phase I renovations.
