Improve the City's redevelopment co-ordination capability |

The following are the five proposed actions that the Smith Village Urban Renewal Plan will take. |

Acquire scattered lots and develop them |
|
|
Acquire vacant deteriorated dwellings and rehab or remove them |
|
|
Rehabilitate existing properties through financing provided by property owners private lenders and state/federal grants |
|
|
Upgrade neighborhood public improvements including street lights parks, sidewalks curbs and utilities |
|
|
Coordinate the use of governmental assistance funds |
