This view illustrates the boundary of the project area as well as the types of new construction that will be occurring. The redevelopment project includes both commercial and residential redevelopment. A total of 97 town houses, 63 single family detached houses will be constructed and a large number of existing homes that are in poor condition will be given financial assistance to rehabilitated. The residential construction will occur primarily in the interior parts of the renewal area with commercial, civic and institutional projects front along ML King, fifth Avenue and North Saginaw Street.
