Phased Approach of Renovation

To address these key issues, we propose to follow a comprehensive work plan. The plan is divided into two phases.  PHASE ONE is a Needs Assessment which will examine the arts and entertainment markets, determine the need for a renovated Capitol Theatre, and address issues of operation, governance and event activity.  If it is determined that a renovated Capitol Theatre can be supported by the market and community, the study would advance to the second phase.  PHASE TWO entails architectural concept development for renovating the Capitol Theatre. It is in PHASE TWO that we would work closely with the architect and the community to develop plans and budgets for the renovation of the theatre.
